Stop Motion Animation

Film evaluation/reflection and development:

I think the best thing that this short has going for it is the fluidity of the animation, there is not a moment that feels stiff or choppy there is real feeling of life to the little creature it moves like it is alive and it also acts like it is alive, it smiles and waves to the camera making it feel more human. i also think that the use of the blue tacks ability to shape change as it use a different way to move instead of having a consistent mode of travel some times it rolls, some times it acts like a worm going under and out of the ground and some times it just cartwheels to its destination. as much as i wanted to tell a story with a bugging, middle and end i think that there was not enough time for one and even if there was it would take way to much time, but i think this is a happy medium as you could say the little creature growing is a story on its own and yes, a very quick story mind you but a story nun the less. now on to the sound effects, their ok, they don't really sound like they fit with what is happening on screen and i don't mean timing i just mean the sounds don't mix with what your seeing on screen it creates a little bit of a disconnect between the viewer and the film, but as i said there ok not terrible some of the sound effects hit there marks and blend in well.

One of the things about this that I'm most proud of is the moment of the camera it is smooth and follows whats going on really well, to do this i put my camera on my slider and moved it with just a small tap of my finger every frame. over all i think i succeeded in creating a fluid, cute and visually interesting animation and i did what i set out to do which was to do all those things i just said.
